Consultation Fees
The doctors practicing from Altona North Medical Hub bill privately, with Medicare rebates available. Concession card holders (incl. health care card and pension card holders) and children are eligible for a reduced consultation fee.
Accounts are required to be settled on the day of consultation and payment is accepted by credit card, EFTPOS, or cash. Medicare rebates can be processed onto your debit card at the time of settling the account for eligible services. Please refer to the below chart for fees.
Changes to fees from 1st July 2024
Please be aware that fees will be updated
in the coming months.
Cancellation and Did-Not-Attend fees
- If you miss or fail to reschedule your appointment, there will be a $30-$50 Did-Not-Attend (DNA) fee payable and stored on your file.
- To avoid the cancellation fees please provide 2 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
- Our reception staff are more than happy to reschedule, amend or cancel your consultation if sufficient time is given.
- Please note that patients who have DNA fees will not be able to book an appointment until it’s paid.
Types of Appointments
At ANMH, our independent practitioners offer both Face-to-Face appointments and Telehealth consultations for eligible patients.
While doctors aim to call as close as possible to your scheduled Telehealth appointment time, occasional delays can happen.
Please ensure you are available around your booking time. If you need your call to be as close as possible to your scheduled time, please let reception know when booking.
Our clinic operates by pre-booked appointments. Walk-in patients may be accommodated where possible, and all urgent medical concerns will be triaged accordingly.
Communication Policy
You can contact ANMH by phone, fax, or email for general enquiries. Please note that emails are not monitored 24/7 and should only be used for non-urgent matters. We kindly ask that you allow up to 2 business days for a response to email enquiries. For urgent concerns, please contact the practice by phone, on (03) 9393 3900.
The best way to speak directly with your GP is by booking a Telehealth appointment, if you are eligible, as this ensures dedicated time with your doctor to discuss your health concerns.
Doctors consulting at ANMH may be available to take patient phone calls in certain circumstances. However, to protect patient privacy and ensure quality care, if your doctor is with another patient at the time of your call, they may return your call when available.
Our reception team is trained to assist with patient enquiries and triage processes, however they are not clinically trained. In some cases, you may be referred to speak with a nurse so your concern can be assessed and managed appropriately.
